Tamara Stefanini

(Milan, 1962) After studying art and graphics, he experimented with different expressive techniques, preferring the use of oil and watercolour painting. Landscapes are the main subject of her works; in them she expresses her inner impulses by transforming and shaping them with surreal and sometimes alienating elements. Tamara’s artistic research is aimed at conveying an immersive feeling with an often ‘fairy-tale’ flavour, in a combination of reality and dream. The link between human life and the environment that surrounds it is the central theme of her poetics, investigated in an almost visceral manner in the series “Red Trees”, where the artist explores the concept of fragility and resilience. The reflection continues in the series dedicated to the forest, a symbolic place and a place of disorientation of the self: there are no human rules, there is a different equilibrium, wild and not always comprehensible, where there is a perception with the whole.
